FAQs

What is botanical preservation?

Flower & foliage preservation is the act of drying real, fresh botanical specimens for future use beyond their natural life cycle. It’s an ancient tradition to honor flowers as storytellers across generations. Today, this craft is used across industries from scientific study to artistic endeavor.

How do you preserve flowers?

The studio uses both traditional and modern techniques for perfectly drying out botanicals from moisture, and in a delicate process that maintains an identifying structure. We take immense care with flowers to delay the natural process of color fading.

Think of it as a long, drawn out sunset: the colors eventually mute and it's still a gorgeous phenomenon.

I want to frame my bridal bouquet! How do I ship the flowers to you?

Pick a frame, order, and shipping instructions will be emailed to you after purchase. We will provide you with easy tools to plan in advance for safe and worry-free shipping!

How long will it take to receive my order?

A standard turn around time is between 2-4 months, and this depends on the condition the flowers arrived in. We provide attention-to-detail and a meticulous system to the craft of floral preservation to ensure excellence in fine art. We want you to enjoy the final piece for generations to come.

We are happy to update you on the status of your order at any time.

Can I design the final layout?

Of course! Artists choice -or- you can lead the design. You’ll have a chance to pick a layout option in advance to lead the overall vision. We will show you the final arrangement for any adjustments you need, before we adhere the botanicals to the frame.

What if flowers or glass are damaged during shipping?

The shipping information emailed to you in advance of the event will help you prep for safe flower travel to the studio. Once the final piece is ready, we will ensure the package is securely wrapped and cushioned to avoid damage to the piece. We recommend purchasing insurance on the final package so in the event an accident occurs, I can help you coordinate a replacement.

Is shipping included in the final price?

No, this cost is separate. You will be financially responsible for all shipping needs-- so sending the fresh bouquet to the Seattle studio, as well as sending the finished frame from the Seattle studio to its final destination.

Do you color correct?
